Here is a quick glimpse of the creation process! First, I create a very quick rough sketch or idea of what the layout will look like. It’s usually only 2-3 inches in size. Second, I actually layout out the artwork in pencil and adjust the overall look and feel of the piece. For instance, I decided to move Periwinkle’s left arm down as two arms in the air looked silly. Once the changes have been made, I ink it. Last, the piece is scanned into Photoshop and colored. Finally, type and effects are added, and Viola, a finished piece!
